Hi there,

I'm trying to use a combination of primefaces push and native websockets, I'm unable to make a configuration making them both to work.
When push works websockets don't and visa verse.
It seems like whenever a push connection is being made the native websocket connection doesn't work anymore without sending any errors.
Do I need a special configuration to let them work both or isn't this possible at all?
I'm using glassfish 4 and atmosphere 2.1.1 and javax.websocket for my native sockets.

Thanks in advance,
Arco

best of both worlds = atmosphere 2.1.1 (or latest version)
best of both worlds != Primefaces push 4.0.x
best of both worlds = PrimeFaces Push 2.0

search google for atmosphere wiki, and read any/all of their tutorials and wiki web pages, and learn how to use atmosphere 'only' to do what you want/need to do. ask your atmosphere questions on the atmosphere google groups mail list, too.

Thanks for your answer !

Push 2.0 seems to be a good alternative (looks very much like javax.websockets) but I think this isn't available yet for community users, am I right?
Another thing is I need a websocket client implemented in Java SE I'm using the Tyrus stand alone client at this moment, can this be established with atmosphere ?
Thanks in advance,
Arco

i searched google for (and found) atmosphere wiki

browse [all] pages in that wiki. atmosphere will definitely meet your requirement. PrimeFaces 5.0 (PrimeFaces Push 2.0) will be available hopefully within the next 1 to 3 months.
