JavaScript Socket push example?

The JavaScript API from the Socket component has a push function. I tried to pass JSON as mentioned in the documentation, and debugging on Chrome and the function was called, but the onMessage handler was not.

Does anyone has an example? I made my tests with PF 5.1.1 + Atmosphere 2.2.3

Getting started with the atmosphere framework and websocket

start there, since that is the (get started with atmosphere) javascript (websocket/push) example. PrimeFaces Push is only a subset of atmosphere framework.

also, you may want to ask your question in the atmosphere framework (google groups) mail list.
