Hi there,

we are using a number of pe:inputNumber in dataTables.
Now we are facing the problem, that if you are tabbing through these fields and fill in some numbers, that sometimes the last number of the value is truncated when submitting the value to the server by ajax.

This always happens when holding down a number (e.g. 0 when typing 110) and before releasing (keyup) the key, using the "tab" key. This one seems to trigger on key down.

The result is, that the correct value (110) is in the inputNumber field but the value on the server side is 11.

I think this is a bug, that different key fire on different events, but probably there is a reason so please correct me if it is.

I would not call it a bug and there is most likely no reason for this behaviour. It is imo just a usecase that was not anticipated

Thanks for your answer.

I'm just wondering, because the standard primefaces inputText Component behaves differently...

Yes, and the behavioir of the selectonemenu is even more different ;)

PFE != PF regarding implementation of components, even though they have similar names and functions

yep, seems like a bug from the autoNumeric plugin..
I will try to find a possible bugfix...

Hey,

we currently don't have a schedule directly.
We will release the next version for 5.2.
Maybe we will do a bugfix release before - maybe you can open a thread here to ping oleg about a bugfix release :)

Just encountered the same issue.

Is there a "workaround" until the update has been released?
