PF 6.0
Will the Extensions project continue to support future versions of PF and if so for how long? In particular will it support the upcoming 6.0 release? I am confused because the messaging has suggested the contrary yet I see commits to the Extensions project that seem to be related to PF 6.0.

we will do a release after the 6.0 release.
Till now you can build it by source and test it

Awesome man! What is the long term strategy here? After the blessed components have been migrated to PF I presume these "official" Extension releases will stop and it will be up to the community to forge ahead.

i think the long time strategy is a maintenance mode.
I think we will also migrate further components to PF, but the maintenance of extensions is up to the community. I don't have time and every other commiter is even more inactive than me

I understand and appreciate your work in support of the Extensions project here. My intention here is to only to understand the future enough to come up with a strategy to deal with it. A release that supports PF 6.0 is more than I expected ... thanks.

That is where I am at too. I am having to refactor my app now to prepare for PrimeFaces 6.0. I removed PF Extensions JAR/dependency, and I recognized that I have code for timepicker CloseEvent, so that tells me that I may have to revert to PF calendar component for timepicker (which I don't really like) or I will have to keep PF Extensions JAR for timepicker.mashama wrote:My intention here is to only to understand the future enough to come up with a strategy to deal with it.
I am currently using PF extensions spotlight, timepicker and pe:layout.
