Hey!

I'm new to PrimeFaces and AJAX and I want to set up the chat demo of the showcase. I have a bunch of questions:

1. I do need Atmosphere in order for p:push to work, right?
2. Which libraries do I need exactly and what do I have to configure? I'm using Tomcat. I find the huge number of Atmosphere libraries very puzzling.
3. Which PrimeFaces version should I use? Unfortunately, I can't wait for newer versions.
4. Is using p:push a valid approach for what I'm planning to achieve? I want my JSF bean to connect to some server and read lines that have been newly appended to some logfile and display them to the user without a page refresh. Can I just invoke .publish from whatever action method I want and it will show up? Even if that action method is still in processing (e. g. in a loop)?

If this is not possible using PrimeFaces, I would be grateful if someone could point me to an alternative.

Thank you very much!
g.
