how to initialize a field with a type checkbox checked?

Anyone know how to do a field of type checkbox: "<p:selectBooleanCheckbox value="#{controleBean.ativa}" id="ativapes" />" already be selected in primefaces??

sure, just give controleBean.ativa a value of true
