The following behaviour can easily be reproduced with ShowCase 3.0: Use the DateTime field in the Time picker example to select a date in the past, i.e. July 3rd. Close the selector field by either clicking on Done or by clicking outside the popup. Open the calendar popup again by clicking on the field and you will see, that not the previously selected date but the current date is marked and gets promoted to the input field if you click outside the popup to close it.
This behaviour is not expected by the user, he didn't click Done nor change the value, so the expectation is that the value stays unaltered.
I've tested this behaviour with Firefox 5.0 and Internet Explorer 8.

I saw your post and the bugs you filed, and although the bugs may be related, I'm not sure the cause is the same. I'm always getting the current date, not some value in the far future, and since it is so easily reproduced, it may make the analysis easier for the primefaces team.

I just rechecked and can furthermore confirm that my bug was introduced with 3.0M2, as 3.0M1 worked as expected.

I won't open a new bug, but amend a comment to your bug (and add a star to it).

Sorry AndreasJ, I should have read your post more carefully. Sounds like it is a different issue.
