I am trying to display a modal dialog on a page with a layout defined(West,Center and East). Everything but the layout content is disabled. I have tried with the dialog define within the layout and outside the layout with no success.
I placed this demo(http://www.primefaces.org:8080/prime-sh ... onAjax.jsf) inside a layout.
I am using primefaces-2.0.0.jar release on Glassfish v3.

Have you set a zindex on p:dialog, if not can you try with a high value like zindex="10".

Glad to know that.
hi there,
i have a same prolem. The setup is having layout west and center.
When i try to show a dialog as a modal, everything is freeze and cannot be clicked at all.
I've tried setting the zindex to 10 and 20, doesn't do any good
I've also put the p:dialog inside or outside the layout. Doesn't make any difference.
I am using primefaces-1.0.0.jar in glassfish 2.1.1
Is there any other trick ?

Sorry my bad...
It actually works.
We have to put p:dialog outside p:layout, and don't forget to set zindex to big number, say 10...
