CommandButton process @this not working

This question I wanted to ask a long time ago. Can somebody explain me why p:commandButton doesn't work with process="@this" (no action / actionListener invoked) if it's placed inside of h:form / f:subview with prependId="true" (per default)? Before 2.2.1 release was everything okey. But now I have to define some Id of parent component in process to get command component working. Downside effect is that I have to write immediate="true" too in order to simulate process="@this". Action / ActionListener is simply not invoked with @this. Any ideas?
