Hi guys,

i've been using primefaces for a while now, and i've never tried to mix the keyaboard with an h:inputTextArea, and i am needing it. Have anyone has a clue how to use the keyaboard with the textarea and not the inputteaxt that comes with the textArea ???

thx

Hello,

Do you have any idea on how to use the textarea with the keyboard element? I'm having the same issue :(

Please let me know if you have something

Thanks and Regards

Oscar Gutierrez.

It will be good to provide keyboard functionality to the other input components also instead inbuilt support with inputtext only. You can raise a request in the issue tracker to support the keyboard for inputtextArea.

Code: Select all

<p:inputtextArea id="input"...>
<p:keyboard for="input"

Can we please stop helping Thread necromancers and make them post their questions in separate Threads. Read the Forum Rules again and in particular pay attention to Rule #7. Thou shalt not raise the dead!
PF 4.x (Elite versions), PF 5, Pf 5.1, PF 6.0
Glassfish 4.1, Mojarra 2.x, Java 8, Payara 4.1.1.

Hi Andy,

I suggested so many times to the new community members like post your code in code tags,Code will give better insight than texting, don't raise the old threads but i didn't see any big difference with that suggestions. Not only me ,Cagatay, expert members(Ronaldo, oleg, zoigl including you),frequent members like Howard and other community members suggested so many times but new members still doing the same.I always informed to them about the forum rules and at the same time about the actual topic. In my view ,each post need to share some information to the members so i just won't say like follow the forum rules.I will prefer rules+topic discussion but i missed informing about rules here.

Why can't we put wizard for each forum rule during the registration because most of the new members not following the viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1194.One of the main reason for Primefaces success is wide spreading through community.

Primefaces keyboard using the jquery keyboard plugin. You can directly extend the keyboard functionality for textarea on onblur js callbacks with your own layouts.Earlier I have done this for textarea component.

Next time onwards don't raise the old threads and follow the forum rules viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1194
