Simple Editor Component Request

My understanding is that PF Editor is based YUI Editor. In some use cases you don't need a full blown editor with all the buttons PF Editor comes with. Therefore I like to request a Simple Editor component based on YUI SimpleEditor with the option to choose between basic and advanced buttons. Or is there a way to drop buttons from PF Editor component?

It is currently customizable but I guess you need custom scripting.
