How to create sublist using <p:selectOneMenu>?

I had used <h:selectOneMenu> before, and the two level list/sublist worked. After switching to <p:selectOneMenu>, it only displays the first level list. And for the first level list, and it renders the list value as empty string, the list labels can be rendered and displayed.
