Layout css?

Hello all.
I want to create a 3-layout page (header, main, footer). Using the layout and layout units i get the following result.
If i want to fill the layout with the same color, i get some gaps between them



Is there a way to define the space between layout units?

Firebug can help to figure out which style class has the padding-margins.
