Access to the filtered content of a datatable? (PF 2.2.1)

Hi everybody,

didn't find anything about it in the forum yet, sorry if I missed s.th.!

Since the filtering doesn't affect the collection in the bean, is it possible to get the filtered content of a datatable? It doesn't matter if it's on the client or on the server, all I wish is something like currentTableCollection.get() or datatable.getCurrentElements() to get a list of the currently shown elements.

And because I think about switching to PF3 when it gets released: Does the (non-)access change in the new version?

In 3.x you can hook-in to filter event and call getValue which will be the filtered list, not aware of a way in 2.x.
