DataTable Value Filtering from Min to Max

Hey Again!

Even though i love the possibilities of a DataTable in Primeface, i am still looking for a way to filter the entries of a dataTable. Currently, my dataTable shows entries of a List that is loaded in the Bean. These Entries have integer and Long values which i want to Filter, means with two fields in the column header, one with the Min-Value and one with the Max-Value.
Is there a way to realize that in primefaces? Do i have to code it in the bean by myself? and if so, how can i start the function?

I just upgraded to PrimeFaces 3.0M4. Maybe anyone can help me now that i have the newest version?

I already figured out that I'll have to use lazy loading, but i dont know any further
