datatable - selections are cleared in filter/sort

Hi,

I know this is a known issue already posted here http://code.google.com/p/primefaces/iss ... il?id=1714 and here http://code.google.com/p/primefaces/iss ... il?id=1798.
But as demonstrated by the issuer in the last link, selections are not really cleared, just not highlighted anymore.
If you refresh the page (e.g. with F5) selections made before are highlighted again.

Cagatay, in that issue you posted not to fix the problem, as it can be solved using pagination. Unfortunately pagination does NOT help. You also have to refresh page to get highlighting back.
So..is there any way to rerender/update/refresh the table immediateley after sorting/filtering to see selection?
An update of the table via

Code: Select all

<p:ajax event="sort" update=tableid"/>

does not work and refreshing the whole page each time can't be an option...

single selection highlighting stays displayed after sort or filter, like shown here http://www.primefaces.org/showcase-labs ... omplex.jsf
BUT
multiple selections lose highlighting after sort or filter

hello, i'm facing exactly the same problem.
I tried the showcase example and had no problems (single selection).
Then I downloaded the sources, changed to multiple selection (without checkboxes), edited the sources and recompiled it.
Now I have the described problem. No highlighting of rows after filter.
Anybody can help?

strangely enough the problem could not be replicated...
however, now with RC2, not even single selections are displayed properly after filtering.
