One property that I have in my application is the java.util.TimeZone class, and i have written a composite component that uses a p:tree to let the user select a time zone out of the 600+ that the JDK offers. It is not the greatest solution but I am using it.
PrimeFaces could offer a component for entering a time zone, optionally showing a map graphic or tree or simplified menu. I don't see any component library that does, and it would be useful in many applications.

Good idea. Please open issue in primefaces issue tracker web site for this new feature request, and encourage others to vote on it via issue tracker web site.
