"AutoUpdate support inside data iteration" - Issue Closed?

Hi Optimus,

I have just noticed that issue 2957 for AutoUpdate support inside data iteration has been closed with comments "won't fix".

I, and I am sure others, rely heavily on this feature in my applications. Can you please provide some insight on why it was closed?

Also, is there another method one may do autoUpdates inside dataTable without reloading the entire table?
