I think that you should open a new topic to ask about this issue, since the subject of your post is totally different.MISS_DUKE wrote:I find it very difficult to achieve jQuery code completion on Netbeans with Primefaces projects. I cannot consider this as a Netbeans or jQuery issue since jQuery code completion sucks only with PF project as we (have to) add jQuery in a "Primefaces" way as follows:
What is the suggestion the Netbeans / PF team going to give for this issue?Code: Select all

Is it a bad think to discuss the problems faced with a particular IDE when discussing about the best IDE?I think that you should open a new topic to ask about this issue, since the subject of your post is totally different

Of course not. I just think that your issue would be solved faster if you open a topic with the correct subject...! ;DMISS_DUKE wrote:Is it a bad think to discuss the problems faced with a particular IDE when discussing about the best IDE?

I hope we'll find Prime 3 bundled with Netbeans in the near future...optimus.prime wrote:Well, we are meeting NetBeans Team next week face-to-face(they are visiting our city for an Oracle Event) to discuss how we can take PrimeFaces-NetBeans to the next step.

Optimus, i'm pleased to hear about this as well, and looking forward to NetBeans and PF taking it to the next step. Does that mean that NetBeans will bundle PrimeFaces 3.0, or more like Miss Duke was asking?optimus.prime wrote:Well, we are meeting NetBeans Team next week face-to-face(they are visiting our city for an Oracle Event) to discuss how we can take PrimeFaces-NetBeans to the next step.
Wow, i like the following response to Miss Duke. I can learn from that as I'm trying to get fixes or questions answered here.

NetBeans will bundle 3.0 anyway as it does with 2.2.1 but our intention is something more complex like a visual designer with drag drop palette.
Visual designer would be great, but please concentrate on getting a solid PF 3.0 before you start working on a drag and drop designer for NetBeans. The incremental deployment in NetBeans is somewhat adequate until you get a solid 3.0 out.
I've been waiting for a solid PrimeFaces build for quite a while now and it seems like the timeframe has slipped in the last few months from original estimates, IMHO.

Using PrimeFaces 3.4, Mojarra 2.1.6, Glassfish 3.1.2, NetBerans 7.2, Hibernate 3.2.5 (sometimes)

We are doing our best to improve the quality of PrimeFaces 3.0.
We do not need a drag and drop or visual designer, please do not waste your valuable and limited resources on that.
Can you remember what happened to Sun Java Studio Creator?

Well they give you the wrong impression. I really can recommend eclipse. I dislike Oracle for what they did to sun. you can use Jboss Tools as a WTP plugin as an excellent JSF/Primefaces tool in eclipse. Many guys at Irian do so as well. [1]WTP's JSF module seems to be dead.
Greets,
