alternative for getTabChangeListener?

Hi there,

i am currently migrating from 3.0.M1 to 3.2 and found that tabView was reimplemented.
due to the changes of "Event listeners are reimplemented as ajax behaviors." the method getTabChangeListener was removed.

To implement a custom wizard I used this for some reasons in my own extended component, but now its gone and the listener is attached to the tabchangeevent itself.

Because I do not click on the tab itself, I have to invoke this event from my backing bean.. whats the best way to do so?
or is there any way to get to the tabchangelistener?
