Hi,
Please Mr CATAGAY, i am new in primefaces and i thought for those who come to know primefaces, it is better that you give us a good tutorial or document richer than the reference guide. A document that treats a sample application step by step with JSF2.0,JPA,EJB3,Primefaces, etc. under NetBeans 6.8 Or Eclipse and in it you show power of Primefaces.

Thanks

Why should the Primefaces Programmers show you how to build an JEE Application. This ist just a Component Library (a total awsome btw. but not more)

Learn how to build JEE Applications with EJB/JPA/JSF for your self and you know how to use PrimeFaces. There are already good tutorials for building JEE Applications:

JEE Version 5:
http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/

JEE Version 6
http://java.sun.com/javaee/6/docs/tutorial/doc/

Hi Daedalus
I do not really have a problem with JSF OR JEE technologies, but the problem is that primefaces is not well documented like RichFaces for example.

Not well documented? What do you miss on the 350 pages big reference guide? All components and attributes are well documented along with all neccessary Configuration.

not 350, it is 373 now:)

@intibnin, if 373 pages is now enough, I don't really know what is.

Also the quickstart page can help: http://www.primefaces.org/gettingStarted.html

Cagatay,

how far is the development of sample basic projects? See: http://primefaces.prime.com.tr/forum/vi ... 4&start=10
I think/hope with sample projects many beginers will have more fun with Primefaces.

@intibnin
Please take also a look into the following thread:

Hi Toni,

Kickstart apps are almost done, we'll start with publishing the eclipse projects, then netbeans.

hi Mr. Cagatay,
all my respect for the tremendous job you did on the guide primefaces. It is very well presented, and I apologize if I am not well expressed, but for a beginner in the world ajax like me, I look for something simple that I can start.
The links you gave me are very interesting. Indeed I ever gave based to start with a small JEE 6 application using JSF2.0 JPA2.0 + Facelets + PrimesFaces and NetBeans 6.8 as IDE. and I'm stuck on changing menu skins, ie the use of CSS in <p: submenu label = "Commercial" styleClass =? : which one to use yui-skin-sam or yuimenu or yuimenubaritem or ?

any details on this will be welcome (i mean : how to use skins in PrimeFaces components).

Thanks in advance.
