Resizable data table - rendering header text in IE8

Hi all there,

the rendering of the header text in a dataTable with resizable columns differs between IE 8 and
Firefox/Chrome.
This can be reproduced using the resizable table of the OrimeFaces ShowCase.

When a column is resized with IE8, the header text is displayed centered.
With Firefox/Chrome is remains left aligned.

Questions: Which behavior is correct?
How can I configure a resizable column so the header Text remains left aligned even with
IE8?
