How do dataTable filtering for a newbie ?

Hi everybody,

i have just discovered PrimeFaces and i love it ! It 's an amazing JSF framework.
But i'm trying to do a dataTable with data filtering. I have more than 50 000 data to query.
I've already done dataTable pagination with Succes !
I use a webservice to get chunk of data to load the dataTable.
But i don't know how to handle the data send by the Client during filtering.

Welcome to PrimeFaces,

50000 is a bit much so for now I'd suggest using dynamic table, in 2.1.1 version we'll add lazy filtering and sorting, currently we have lazy paging. When lazy filtering is implemented, that will be the best solution.

I use dynamic data loading in my datatable and it works fine.
So i will be patient until this release come.
