Does p:dataTable support column groups?

Does p:dataTable support column groups or is there how to imitate column groups?

Now dataTable support column groups, will dataExport, export these column groups into excel with the correct design???, or just the simple header with no column group.

But to answer your question: Only simple header will be exported, but you can mix both to have single header in exported XLS files and grouped column header in your datatable.
