I've made the fileUpload component work with IE (luckily, this is my requirement), however it doesn't work in Firefox. It dies with an HTTP error or an IO error, depending on its mood...
It also works in Opera and Chrome... grrr...
Has anyone got it working in Firefox? The Primefaces showcase "works", which means that it doesn't show an error, though it doesn't display a success message either...

You can test the showcase example with this example, it also displayes info about update file with growl making sure the fileUploadListener is called;

I have been dealing with the same issue of Firefox reporting either HTTP or IO errors when using this component, while it appears to work fine on IE 8.
I am running Glassfish 3.0.1 (Open Source version). I've tried deploying GF on a WinXP box and a Ubuntu Linux box.
I have tried various versions of Firefox including 4.0 beta 2 and 3.6.x.
I tried both primefaces 2.1-RC1 and 2.0.3. I have not yet tried the final version of 2.1.
The showcase example has never caused an issue on Firefox. I noticed that primefaces.prime.com is running tomcat - maybe it's a Firefox/Glassfish issue.

Hello all
Even i had faced the same problem of HTTP Error for file upload only in "Mozilla" and works fine I.E. 8. I removed my addons and again tried it and it worked fine. So try doing that.
Thanks

Now I'm constantly getting this exception after the upload:

javax.faces.application.ViewExpiredException: viewId:/prot/expert/upload.xhtml - View /prot/expert/upload.xhtml could not be restored.

We'll do a re-test with glassfish 3.
same here, i change it and started working again, and has been working fine (great tool!!)OK, this is weird.
If I use localhost:8080, it doesn't work. If I use my computers external name, it does!

Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
And right now it occurs with IE and Chrome(In some machines) too.
From one machine we can upload succesfully while the other machine gets an HTTP 500.
Web Server Weblogic Server 10.3.3.0.
The application works on a remote server so I'm not using localhost to reach it.
Do you have any idea how i can fix this problem.
Thank you,
P.S: The matter is very urgent we have run into the problem in our production environment.
So quick response would be appreciated.
