selectOneMenu filter default entry

Hello,

I am using the p:selectOneMenu with a filter (filter="true" filterMatchMode="contains"). I would also want to set the default entry for the filter string, i.e. not start with an empty field. (The reason is that I have a big set of data, so the html list takes long to build before I can even start to enter a filter criterion, but I do know a default filter criterion which should be good fo most of the cases and usually restrict the data set to a reasonably small one.) So how can I set the default entry fo that filter field? Thanks for your help.

Default filtering is not available at the moment, feel free to create a feature request.
