Subtable in DataTable?

I'd like to render a dataTable which looks somehow like this (eg. with header rows within data rows):

However I didn't find this "subtable" feature in Primefaces.
I could use TreeTable, and have expandable headers, but then I would loose all the nice features of DataTable (like row selection).

Is there an easy way to emulate "subtable" behaviour within p:dataTable?

Hi,

I think we'll have this feature in 2.2.1, we've just added grouping;

Once the datatable gets stable in 2.2, we can add it subtable easily for 2.2.1.

I'd like to vote for the subtable feature, but I can't find a feature request in the issue tracker. Should one be created?

Just read, that this is now "fixed"! Great work so far, looks very nice.

Wasn't able to test it on my own, but I have some questions:
- is it possible to toggle some of the subtables?
- is it possible to sort inside of the subtables?

1) Nope (I suggest using a regular table with expandable rows to implement that)
2) Only the grouping column as seen in example.
