Hi.
We are working in a primefaces project with ;
Primefaces 5.0
ODBC6
java EE 7 Web.
JDK 1.7.
Oracle 11g.
We are working on NetBeans IDE 8.0 with GlassFish Server 4, in the developer environment.
The project is working perfect in the developer environment.
Now we have to select the web server for the production system on Internet.
We are not too much interesting on support but we wanted an stable platform for the next 8 years.
We want to make it as easy as possible to put the system from the test environment to the production
environment and we want low cost.
¿What is the best Web server; GlassFisth, WildFly, JBoss, WebLogic, WebShepre, Geronimo, JOnaS, Tomacat, Jetty, Resin?
What is the best server for a project?

it's matter of taste and depends on your needs. My choose is TomEE.

Oracle and low cost?
Stability can only be guaranteed if you deploy now and change nothing for the lifetime of the project. This is not very realistic.
8 years is an eternity in a business where things become outdated and obsolete over periods measured in months.
You pick your server based on tests you perform or criterion you apply which are applicable to the desired characteristics of your project.
Scalability, ability to scale out (cluster) or scale up (bigger server), Service Guarantees, performance, robustness, ease of administration and monitoring are some of the things you may need to consider.
Unless you are prepared to tell us what is expected, along the lines I drew above, then it is impossible to make a recommendation here.
Even if you were prepared to tell us it still would not be advisable for this community to make recommendations to you because there are possible legal implications that this community cannot afford to get involved in.
Having said that the list of servers that has found wide acceptance has already been published here, try them out and see which fits the best.
