Paste Screenshot/Upload Image base64

Hi all,
When I paste a screenshot into the ckeditor textbox, I double-clicked/right click on the image that I have pasted and it shows the image properties, under image info, the url is "data:image/png;base64,xxxxxx" which means the image I have pasted is converted to base64 image if I am not wrong.
Can I ask if by default the image will be converted to base64 or is there any ways that I can change the format?
