Primefaces 6:Dynamic FIeld rendering on condition

I have situation where i have to Display a text fied based on prior page contion.

I am using primefaces -step component.

If value of a field on step-1 is yes then text component on step-2 should be display else not.

I tried to use rendered as below but it is not working

<p:inputTextArea id="commentval" rendered="#{buildconfigBB.isBuild}" value="#{buildconfigBB.comment}" />
