Datatable page number/lazyDataModel

I am trying to find a way to save the page number from a datatable in order to default it later along with the list values that I supply via the LazyDataModel. I thought there would be a method to set the page number in the lazy loading code but am not finding any. Has anyone found a way to do this? I am using Primefaces version 2.2.M1.
