increase the size of the popup menu

I am using <p:menu tiered="true" model="#{menuBean.model}">. I have set the width of p:menu using the style attribute to 190px. The Menu shows correctly. But when I try to access the submenu, the width of the popup menu is very small and the text in it just rolls over to the next line of the popup menu. How do I increase the width of the popup menu that appears when I click the any submenu in p:menu. I am using PrimeFaces 2.1
