Calendar mindate/maxdate behaviour incorrect

mindate and maxdate of p:calendar behave incorrect if their values are fed by an EL expression containing a Date object. The calendar widget opens with a year 2016 or something. The reason is a bug in CalendarRenderer which has been documented in a PrimeFaces JIRA ticket:
