Conditional selection checkbox in datatable

Hi all
it is possible to make the visibility of the selection checkbox (using the selectionmode=single on p:column) conditional?
I need to hide the selection checkbox in some cases...

Possibly use the rendered attribute.

Ok...but I was wondering if were possible to have conditional selection column without using a custom selection component on column...

I'll use rendered on checkbox component... ^^
