UploadFile component shows vague behaviour

The component shows vague behaviour in the browsers with SSL enabled.I have been using upload functionality provided by primefaces, its working fine for browsers like IE7,IE8,chrome,firefox and safari when SSL is disabled. But the moment SSL is enabled the component doesn't work properly and gives me Http error or I/O error in chrome,firefox and safari. But to my surprise it still works fine in IE 7 and IE 8 on HTTPS.

Please help me in solving this issue.
