Datatable does display with the styles defined as in the sho

I tried to do the same example for datatable as in
http://www.primefaces.org/showcase/ui/d ... eBasic.jsf.
but the grids lines and the color for header is not displayed in any browser.
I have include <f:view contentType="text/html"> as suggested in the forum.

similarly I also tried some simple examples, but the data is displayed in the form of table without any styles. the firbug shows all the related css files have been downloaded to the client side.

Please can you tell if anything also has to be taken care.
