Hello,
As part of a project I'm working on, some (xhtml) pages are coded with custom components only and loaded into containing pages (using ui:include). One of these components (derived from HtmlPanelGroup) creates a visible text field, a button and an originally hidden Dialog (that opens with the said button). On the Dialog we have (for query) a text field, a button and for query results a DataTable, with multiple rows selection ability (checkboxes). Plus buttons to just close the (modal) Dialog or to accept the chosen rows for further processing.
The problem: when a query is launched on the Dialog, the DataTable creates rows matching the size of result set, but no data in the TD-cells of the HTML-table!
However, if I just close the Dialog, excurse into some other screen, just submit any form, and then return to the screen with the Dialog and open it again, the rows are there (session-scoped backing bean) but with the cell data as well !?
I've recreated this condition using HtmlDataTable as well, so I think it has something to do with the interactions of Dialog/form/DataTable-like components, but I'm somewhat clueless now. The platform is Tomcat 7.0.5 with Mojarra 2.0.4, using Primefaces 2.2.RC2.
Can anyone give me any hint on what's happening here?
DataTable in Dialog shows rows, but no data items
