Validation error when filtering a datatable

I have a datatable with required inputs, not yet filled, and want to filter the datatable rows. Typing anything in the filters results in a validation error for all of the empty inputs.
Is there a way for making the update ignore those fields?

I have a working example here.
It displays a datatable with three columns, the third one being a required inplace which shows an error when filtering by the second column.
The example uses the latest 13.0.0-RC2, but also fails on 12.0.0

Does this qualify as a bug or is it the expected behaviour?
