Hello All
JS and mobile frameworks are changing every day and I am totally aware it's not easy to choose a good and especially long-lived solution, having said that:
Is there any plan to stop using jquery-mobile in primefaces-mobile? Jquery-mobile it's fantastic but unfortunately last commit in gitHub was 1'5 years ago and we all do agree this is probably too much time in developing world.
Should we move to a responsive framework like bootstrap, foundation or whatever and therefore leave mobile renderKit ?
could be feasible to change jquery-mobile to frameworks like REactJS or OnsenUI?
Thanks

- I agree with you completely, but it still is preferred by our Community and Pro users.Jquery-mobile it's fantastic but unfortunately last commit in gitHub was 1'5 years ago and we all do agree this is probably too much time in developing world.
- I think you can made them. You can use responsive primefaces components. We changed many components for responsive feature and produced responsive layouts;Should we move to a responsive framework like bootstrap, foundation or whatever and therefore leave mobile renderKit ?

Hi Again
I said this because during last days an android upgrade on at least branchs 5.X and 6.X has brought a jquery-mobile error in selectmenu (p:selectOneMenu)[1]. The error is important because it's not an estetic one, it's an error that prevent user to select an option and affects internal browser of viewWeb and therefore any app that use it. You can see a video example [2]
Fortunately we only use primefaces-mobile for internal clients, and because one advantage of an mobile App that simply calls a webPage it's that you don't need to upgrade client app and there was only a 5 options selectMenu we were able to change the select by a SelectOneRadio.
Now, there is a workaround that makes the job and fix the problem[3] but it had to pass 7 days to somebody published it.
We use IONIC for external apps, but primefaces-mobile takes a space that can't be occupied by a responsive page, because jquery-mobile it's fantastic with 4-5 inches screens and you can share your Java code.
Thanks Aragorn!!
