Push Being Retired in 6.2 and Removed in 6.3

For those of you thinking of using Push I would not use it now and if you are using it now it might be time to start looking for another solution.

But is there a reason it is allready removed from the showcase? Cannot find it anymore...

Not that I know of. I know all the classes in the PF JAR are marked @deprecated right now but they must have removed them from the Showcase.

What is the reasoning? Is there something else taking its place as a server to client replacement?

I think the reasoning is its pretty buggy and that JSF 2.3 has a native Socket implementation.

If you really need it I suggest moving to OmniFaces o:socket which does similar functionality without the requirement of the Atmosphere libraries.
