Hello - I am fairly new to PrimeVue, am having a good experience so far building an app that uses about 10-15 of the controls so far.
The doc indicates that it's possible to template menu *items*, however if you try and do this you quickly discover that it completely breaks the functionality of the menu by overriding the display both leaf items and parent nodes that have child items. Perhaps I am I missing something...? The menu item template seems useless like this. I just need to display an image beside some of the menu choices, but this seems impossible without going to extreme lengths of trying to recreate the built-in template for the parent nodes.
Also a quick note re menu header and footer templates:
- for MenuBar these are placed horizontally (which I think is correct)
- for MegaMenu they appear vertically, which I believe is a bug.
Thank you in advance for anyone who can help me please.
Template Menu *Leaf Node* Items?

Hi,
While using custom templating, nested items will be invisible. Because, it also expects custom templating for nested items like you did for items.
MegaMenu uses submenus and such big menus needs an at least one wrap.
Thanks,
