It is possible to use PrimeFaces with the classifier "jakarta" in Maven in the "newer" stack of Jakarta EE 9.
But Rain's jar requires javax.* packages.
It would be nice to have it consistent.

As well there is source code for "normal" PrimeFaces in 10.0.3 (elite), but no source code for 10.0.3-jakarta.
Is it possible to make PrimeFaces a little bit greater? :)

Hi,
As well there is source code for "normal" PrimeFaces in 10.0.3 (elite), but no source code for 10.0.3-jakarta.
We use custom configuration in our pom.xml file. In this way, when our code is compiled, we can generate jars for both jsf and jakarta. We do not have an extra jakarta source codes.
But Rain's jar requires javax.* packages.
It would be nice to have it consistent.
We are still in the transition phase. We need to provide jsf support to our users and not many of our users use jakarta. As jakarta becomes more common in future releases, new versions will come with jakarta. For now, you can use it with jakarta by making the necessary changes in the tag file yourself.

It is also among our plans to release 2 different theme versions. We exchange ideas with our team.

Thank you for your patience.
Best Regards,

Thank you for your answer!
I'm just starting a new project and want it to be aligned with current versions of JEE.
The problem with Rain isn't only in tag-file. There is rain-theme-2.0.0.jar which consists not only of CSS but of a couple of java classes as well. These classes cannot be loaded if there are no javax.* packages in the classpath. I mean RainMenu and RainMenuRenderer.

As a transition phase, it could be the same approach with the "classifier" as it is done for primefaces jar.

We are working on it. Please wait for the next template major release cycle.
