It's by design, we don't need the widgetWar in the event and the id is required if you use p:ajax instead pe:javascript.
Could you try #{p:widgetWar('myEditor')} in your repeater and hopefully it will give your the widgetVar of the current row.
Otherwise we could an add id<->widgetVar mapping in pe.

I'm using pe:ckEditor inside a composite component and simply passed in a generated widgetVar but p:widgetVar works, too.
