<p:commandButton> action not working

I am new to UI development, and hence I am in need of support to fix an issue.

I recently purchased adamantium themes, and I am trying to navigate from logix.xhtml to dashboard.xhtml using faces-config navigation.

to test this, I changed <p:button> to <p:commandButton> to get action attribute, and in action; i set it as "#{loginBean.validate}"

I have a debug statement in loginBean to check if the click event reaches loginBean.

When I click on the commandButton, I don't see the debug statement being printed, i.e. the flow is not coming to loginBean.

Any inputs on this issue please ?
