Compatibility with IE-8

Hi, we are interested in adamantium theme, but unfortunately we have to guarantee to our clients backward compatibility versus Internet Explorer from version 8.
Obviously with IE-8 the rendering of the page will be different due of the lack of CSS3 compatibility, our goal is to guarantee the correct behaviour of the standard form components for the older browsers.
I saw in the showcase (http://www.primefaces.org/adamantium/ ) that the generated html has the following directive:
so even if I press F12 and set the emulation level to IE-8 every time the page is refreshed it comes back the IE=edge compatibility.
Is there a way to test this library emulating IE-8 ?
Thanks a lot
