I'm maintaining and developing a dinosaur enterprise app (12 years old at this point) written in Java EE and JSF, for some 3 years now
I've been an EE Developer for a lifetime (Corba, RMI, EJB 1.x etc) . I started with RichFaces and moved about five years agp to PrimeFaces when I needed to develop a GUI. I've been happy with JSF (PrimeFaces) & WildFly. I will continue to use EE 8 & Jakarta EE 9 with JSF for my GUI. I like using 'components' rather than JSON.

WildFly 22.0.1.Final - Jakarta EE Full & Web Distribution (https://www.wildfly.org/downloads/)

https://jakarta.ee/specifications/faces/

IMO
PrimeFace (Elite) 8.0.7 & 10.0.0-RC1
Mojarra JSF 2.3.14.SP02 & OmniFaces 3.10.1

WildFly 22.0.1.Final
Weld 3.1.5.Final & CDI 2.0
Java OpenJDK 15.0.2, Kotlin 1.4.30, Gradle 6.8.3, MongoDB 4.4.3
Google Chrome, macOS Big Sur 11.2.2
