Lately we have been working with NetBeans team to improve the JSF-PrimeFaces application development features in NetBeans. At this stage, your feedback is required for NetBeans team to prioritize feature requests and keep forward.

So please if you have any feedback like visual editor, preview, code generation or else, drop a comment and we'll forward them to the friends at NetBeans Team.

  • Code Generation:
    It would be great if Netbeans provides code generation for JSF-Primefaces page using database schema or hibernate. (Master detail)
  • Visual Editor:
    It would be great if Netbeans designs a visual editor for Primefaces like JDeveloper has for ADF faces. It will increase development speed a lot.

As of now satisfied with the support. Nothing to complain about.

Visual Editor would be great for designers.

As a developer, I feel confortable without visual editor.

I would like to see some WYSIWYG stuff on Netbeans, aka Visual Editor. But I agree that code generation from entity beans would be more useful right now.

Visual Editor is the biggest improvement they could make. Im pretty tired of having to deploy and run just to see if my layout of the components was correct. The rest is working really well.

  • Generation of JSF/Primefaces pages from Entities would be great !
  • Visual designer should be great, but for me, not a priority. I feel comfortable without it
Anyway, thanks for such great components !!!

Visual Designer is great for developers. This would enable more coding time for other
aspects of program development like those for business logic, or tools development (incldg. UI tools),
or other stuff that would require the time used for typing "<p: ...". when one should just have to drag.

Would be great if netbeans offer support for autocomplete for ListDataModel.

if you use
<p:dataTable var="lstnxfornecedor" value="#{_104MB.nxfornecedorDM}" selectionMode="single" rowKey="#{lstnxfornecedor.idpessoa}">
<h:outputText value="#{lstnxfornecedor.??????}" />

autocomplete don't will list of entity attributes.

other inssue is
<p:ajax event="rowSelect" listener="#{_104MB.carregarnxfornecedor}"/>

public void carregarnxfornecedor(SelectEvent event) {

_104MB.carregarnxfornecedor will be underlined with (!) yellow.
