As it happens, I've started to "marry" PrimeFaces and AngularJS a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure the idea ever works out.- The concepts of the frameworks differ tremendously. Nonetheless, the first results are encouraging.

If you're interested, have a look at the source code https://github.com/stephanrauh/AngularFaces/ or the AngularFaces showcase http://showcase.angularfaces.com.

I think that Primefaces and AngularJS is a powerfull combination. I am used to develop enterprise applications with Primefaces. Some times I need to constantly update GUI with data from the server, and the best way to do it is using websockets. I've built a facelets component with pure HTML and AngularJS, the client side receives data via websockets. The results is quite impressive. Only the changed parts of the GUI is updated, it's very smooth.

By the way, I enjoyed a lot the following projects:

Sorry for such a late reply to this thread.

I've had no new opportunities to build a PrimeFaces app for over a year now. A peer of mine has been asking if we should be using AngularJS instead (or other view tech) and I'm not sure how to answer this question, as I've never used it and don't know if it even compares with PrimeFaces. But I also know my peer has never used PrimeFaces or JSF for that matter.

I recalled this thread and also discovered AngularFaces is out after some google searching. I'm not sure what to think of all this new stuff and was wondering if you might be able shed some light as to why anyone would use AngularJS alone or AngularFaces instead of PrimeFaces?

By the way, I've written only three applications (PrimeFaces) but they've been running flawlessly for several years without any change/updates. Primefaces is awesome in my opinion, couldn't be happier with it. And I'd prefer to keep using it but it sometimes feels that I'm sometimes defending it's use and I'm not sure how to articulate it against other frameworks. Just looking for advise, and what to do with questions on AngularJS and AngularFaces.

Thanks
Mike
