Notification centre component

Hi all

First of I would like to thank everyone involved in creating and making available this awesome framework.

I need to create a notification centre in my web app where a user sees the amount of notifications on a component similar to what Facebook and the app icons on smartphones does.

When the user then clicks on this notification component he gets redirected to a page listing the notifications related to him in detail.

The notifications will typically be tasks required by the user as part of business logic work flows.

Does anything like this exists in Primefaces if not any idea on how to go about creating this component?

PS I know how to get the amount of notifications from the DB as well as rendering the redirected page with the details. My question relates specifically to the actual component.
