RowEditEvent getOldValue

Hello,

so I struggled with this little problem to get the old value when editing the row.

My problem in detail can be found on Stackoverflow. If someone has a better solution to this problem, please tell me.

Is it possible to get the oldValue out of the rowEditEvent? I tried but found only the new value.
In the end I changed to cell edit mode, because there it is possible to get the old value.

Why is it not also in the rowEditEvent? Where can one make a request to add such functionality?
